Hosting and server logs
This website runs as an application inside the network of Cloudflare, Inc. (USA). Cloudflare is not merely an upstream service here but also the runtime environment: page delivery, static files and image conversion all happen there, as do the operational logs. When you visit, Cloudflare automatically processes technical access data such as IP address, time of the request, requested page and browser type. This processing is required for delivery and security; the legal basis is the legitimate interest in operating the website securely and reliably (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The data is not combined with other data sources and not analysed. According to its own documentation, Cloudflare retains the application's operational logs for three or seven days depending on the plan. Data may also be processed outside the EU; under its data processing addendum Cloudflare relies on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework for such transfers and, as a fallback, on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. Still open and to be verified before any business operation begins (demo placeholder): whether the data processing addendum has been validly concluded for this account, the plan booked and therefore the exact retention period, and further links in the chain (domain registrar, DNS operation).

The inquiry form on this website is a demo: entered data is neither transmitted nor stored. The email address shown is a labeled placeholder; there is currently no real contact channel. If a contact channel is activated, this policy will be updated in advance to reflect the actual processing.
Cookies and local storage
This website stores nothing on your device. No cookies are set, neither its own nor third-party ones, and no analytics, tracking or marketing technologies are used. localStorage, session storage and IndexedDB are not used either (browser-verified, as of September 2026 – the check is part of this website's automated tests). An earlier version of this website stored a display preference in the browser; today's website neither reads nor writes that entry. As there is therefore no storage of, and no access to, information on your device, no consent under Section 165(3) of the Austrian Telecommunications Act (TKG 2021) is required either; a consent banner is not used. This assessment describes the current configuration and is re-examined whenever functionality changes – it is not a permanent guarantee.
Fonts, images and external content
Fonts and images are served by this website itself. That includes the landscape photographs: they were downloaded from the image platforms and are stored locally in the project – opening this website creates no connection to the image platform Pexels, and no data is transmitted to it. The “Image credits” page contains text links to the original images; those only take you there once you click them. Beyond the hosting described above, no external services (e.g. Google Fonts, analytics tools, maps or social media plugins) are embedded.
Your rights
In principle, you have the rights to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. To exercise them, contact the controller named above (currently demo data – a real contact channel will be added before any business operation begins). If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law, you can lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority: Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna, dsb@dsb.gv.at, www.dsb.gv.at.
